Hope in the face of climate crisis: an art book project
The current generation of humans are facing huge challenges.
We are staring down the barrel of the gun of climate change. The human population is at an all time high, and we’re living longer than ever. Animals and plants are facing widespread extinction due to human activity.
Our levels of anxiety and depression are higher than ever, but in spite of these threats to our future, humanity continues to have a resilient spirit.
As a response to the existential anxiety caused by the climate crisis, I am creating an art book. And I would love you to join me. I would like to include art, photography, writing, poetry, and any other art form that can fit into a book!
How does the climate crisis make you feel? How do you cope when you feel anxious about our future? How about humans as a species- are we worth saving? How do you take up space and flourish as a human being in the face of extinction? Most of all, how do you hold on to hope when the future looks so bleak?
Take part in this project by submitting your art, photography, writing or poetry exploring these themes. Let’s create a book together that will tell future generations what it was like to live in these strange times!
You can submit up to three pieces of work for consideration to be included. Submission does not guarantee inclusion in the book. If your work is selected for inclusion, you will be notified by email. Your work will be credited. I will also notify with you with more details about the publishing of the book (and how you can buy a copy) as soon as they are available.
